Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the tonneau cover. Refer to Pickup Box Cover Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear header trim. Refer to Roof Panel Rear Applique Replacement .
  3. Remove the body lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Applique Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 2008498 Size: SH
  4. Remove the soft tonneau cover bracket to body side retaining screws (1).

    5. Object Number: 2008499 Size: SH

    Important: Take care not to damage the datum pins (1) when removing the soft tonneau cover bracket (3) from the body side (2).

  5. Remove the soft tonneau cover bracket (3) from the body side (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2008500 Size: SH

    Important: Take care not to damage the datum pins (1) when installing the soft tonneau cover bracket (2) to the body side.

  1. Locate the datum pins (1) and position the soft tonneau cover bracket (2) to the body side (3).

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2008501 Size: SH
  2. Install the soft tonneau cover bracket to body side retaining screw (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the screw (2) to 25 N·m (18 lb ft).

  3. Install the soft tonneau cover bracket to body side retaining screw (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screw (1) to 6 N·m (53 lb in).

  4. Install the body lock pillar trim. Refer to Body Lock Pillar Applique Replacement .
  5. Install the rear header trim. Refer to Roof Panel Rear Applique Replacement .
  6. Install the tonneau cover. Refer to Pickup Box Cover Replacement .
