Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1256803 Size: SH
  1. Remove the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
  2. Remove the rear bumper energy absorber, if equipped. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement.

    3. Note: The 5 mph (8 km/h) bumper assembly is shown. The 2.5 mph (4km/h) bumper assembly similar.

  3. Remove the nuts and the impact bar.

Installation Procedure

    Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  1. Install the impact bar with the nuts and tighten to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  2. Install the rear bumper energy absorber, if equipped. Refer to Rear Energy Absorber Replacement.

    3. Note: The 5 mph (8 km/h) bumper assembly is shown. The 2.5 mph (4km/h) bumper assembly similar.

  3. Install the rear bumper fascia. Refer to Rear Bumper Fascia Replacement.
