Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Battery Disconnect Warning in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1760914 Size: SH

    Warning: Do not breathe the air through the EVAP component tubes or hoses. The fuel vapors inside the EVAP components may cause personal injury.

  1. Disconnect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Disconnect the EVAP emission canister purge front hose from the EVAP emission canister purge solenoid valve.
  3. Disconnect the EVAP emission canister purge front hose from the EVAP emission pipe.

    4. Object Number: 1760915 Size: SH
  4. Disconnect the EVAP emission pipe rear hose from the EVAP emission canister.

    5. Object Number: 1760916 Size: SH
  5. Remove the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe protector bracket.
  6. Remove the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe retaining clips.
  7. Remove the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 1760916 Size: SH
  1. Install the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe with the retaining clips.
  2. Install the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe retaining clips.
  3. Install the EVAP emission canister vapor pipe protector bracket.

    4. Object Number: 1760915 Size: SH
  4. Connect the EVAP emission pipe rear hose to the EVAP emission canister.

    5. Object Number: 1760914 Size: SH
  5. Connect the EVAP emission canister purge front hose to the EVAP emission canister pipe.
  6. Connect the EVAP emission canister purge front hose to the EVAP emission canister purge solenoid valve.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
