Preliminary Procedures

  1. Remove the drive belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  2. Raise and support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  3. Remove the skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
  4. Remove the a/c drive belt. Refer to Air Conditioning Compressor Belt Replacement.

Clutch Plate Retaining Bolt

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
18 N·m (13 lb ft)

A/C Washer

Refer to Sealing Washer Replacement.

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
  2. Remove the engine belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.

    3. Object Number: 1559905 Size: SH
  3. Remove the clutch plate retaining bolt (1).
  4. Remove the cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement.
  5. Remove the clutch plate assembly (2).
  6. Remove the clutch hub/bearing snap ring (3).
  7. Remove the clutch hub/bearing assembly (4).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1559905 Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch hub/bearing assembly (4).
  2. Install the clutch hub/bearing snap ring (3).
  3. Install the clutch plate assembly (2).

    4. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  4. Install the clutch plate retaining bolt (1).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the bolt to 18 N·m (13 lb ft).

  5. Install the cooling fan. Refer to Fan Replacement.
  6. Install the engine belt. Refer to Drive Belt Replacement.
  7. Install the skid plate. Refer to Oil Pan Skid Plate Replacement.
