Preliminary Procedure

Remove the inflatable restraint steering wheel module. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Replacement.

Steering Wheel Nut

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
35 N·m (26 lb ft)

Steering Wheel

Procedure

1. Install anti-rotation pin J 42640 .
2. Disconnect any electrical connectors as needed.
3. To remove the steering wheel, screw the steering wheel nut on several turns and then wiggle the steering wheel loose.
