Preliminary Procedures

1. Remove the floor shift control knob. Refer to Floor Shift Control Knob Replacement.
2. Remove the console upper trim plate. Refer to Front Floor Upper Console Trim Plate Replacement.
3. Disconnect the transmission range selector cable from the floor shift control. Refer to Range Selector Lever Cable Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
20 N·m (15 lb ft)
