Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1969052 Size: SH
  1. Remove the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
  2. Disconnect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) from the mass airflow (MAF)/intake air temperature (IAT) sensor (2).

    3. Object Number: 1969060 Size: SH
  3. Disconnect the secondary air injection (AIR) pump inlet hose (1) quick connect fitting from the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

    4. Object Number: 1969156 Size: SH
  4. Remove the air cleaner bolts (2).
  5. Remove the air cleaner assembly (1) from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1969156 Size: SH
  1. Place the air cleaner assembly (1) into the vehicle.

    2. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  2. Install the air cleaner bolts (2).

    3. Tighten
    Tighten the bolts to 15 N·m (11 lb ft).

  3. Connect the AIR pump inlet hose (1) quick connect fitting to the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Plastic Collar Quick Connect Fitting Service.

    4. Object Number: 1969052 Size: SH
  4. Connect the engine wiring harness electrical connector (1) to the MAF/IAT sensor (2).
  5. Install the air cleaner outlet duct. Refer to Air Cleaner Outlet Duct Replacement.
