Removal Procedure

    Warning: Refer to Hood Hold-Open Device Warning in the Preface section.

  1. Open the hood.

    2. Object Number: 822822 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the underhood lighting electrical connectors and remove the wiring harness (1) from the hood.

    3. Object Number: 822819 Size: SH
  3. With the hood properly supported, remove the hood support cables by removing the hood support cable pins (1).
  4. Remove the hood hinges. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement.
  5. With the aid of assistants, remove the hood from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Note: If replacing the hood, transfer all necessary items from the hood being replaced to the new hood.

  1. With the aid of assistants, position the hood in place, and install the hood hinge bolts. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 822819 Size: SH
  2. With the hood still supported by an assistant, install the hood support cable pins (1).

    3. Object Number: 822822 Size: SH
  3. Install the underhood lighting wiring harness (1) and connect all underhood lighting electrical connectors.
  4. Close the hood.
