Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.

    2. Object Number: 816381 Size: SH
  2. Disconnect the fuel feed and return pipe fittings at the fuel filter inlet and the return pipe union.
  3. Remove the fuel feed and return pipes from the retaining clips.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 816381 Size: SH
  1. Install the fuel feed and return pipes into the retaining clips.
  2. Install the fuel tank. Refer to Fuel Tank Replacement.

    3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

  3. Connect the fuel feed and return pipes to the fuel filter inlet and the return pipe union.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the fuel pipe fittings to 27 N·m (20 lb ft) using a back-up wrench.

  4. Lower the vehicle.
  5. Refill the fuel system.
  6. Tighten the fuel filler cap.
  7. Connect the negative battery cable.
  8. Inspect for fuel leaks.
    9. 8.1. Turn ON the ignition for 2 seconds.
    8.2. Turn OFF the ignition for 10 seconds.
    8.3. Turn ON the ignition.
    8.4. Inspect for fuel leaks.
