Warning: Do not strike or jolt the inflatable restraint front end sensor. Before applying power to the front end sensor make sure that it is securely fastened. Failure to observe the correct installation procedure could cause SIR deployment, personal injury, or unnecessary SIR system repairs.

Preliminary Procedure

Remove the front center seat. Refer to Front Center Seat Replacement.

Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Front Center Seat Storage Compartment Bolt

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Front Center Seat Back Cushion Latch Lower Cover

Front Center Seat Back Cushion Latch Upper Cover

Tip
Slide the upper cover out of the lower cover.

Front Center Seat Armrest Bolt (Qty: 2)

Tighten
9 N·m (80 lb in)

Tighten
