J 39500-B R-134a A/C Refrigerant Recovery, Recycling and Recharging System (ACR4)

1. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
2. Recover the refrigerant using the J 39500-B .
3. Clean the valve seat area on the rear head.



4. Remove the pressure relief valve (1).

1. Lubricate the O-ring of the new pressure relief valve (1) using new 525 viscosity refrigerant oil.

Notice: Refer to Component Fastener Tightening Notice in the Preface section.




2. Install the pressure relief valve (1).

Tighten
The pressure relief valve to 9 N·m (80 lb in).

3. Evacuate and recharge the system using theJ 39500-B .
4. Leak test the system.
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
