Exhaust Manifold Replacement Left

1. Remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Controls.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Disconnect the EGR valve pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement in Engine Controls.
4. Remove the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Replacement in Engine Electrical.
5. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Removal .
6. Clean all sealing surfaces.

1. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Installation .
2. Connect the EGR valve pipe to the manifold. Refer to Exhaust Gas Recirculation Valve Replacement in Engine Controls.
3. Install the spark plugs. Refer to Spark Plug Replacement in Engine Electrical.
4. Install the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement .
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.

Exhaust Manifold Replacement Right

1. Remove the exhaust pipe from the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
2. Remove the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
3. Remove the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
4. Remove the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .
5. Remove the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Removal .
6. Clean all sealing surfaces.

1. Install the exhaust manifold. Refer to Exhaust Manifold Installation .
2. Install the oil level indicator tube. Refer to Oil Level Indicator and Tube Replacement .



3. Install the exhaust pipe to the exhaust manifold. Refer to Catalytic Converter Replacement in Engine Exhaust.
4. Install the air cleaner assembly. Refer to Air Cleaner Assembly Replacement in Engine Controls.
5. Install the engine cover. Refer to Engine Cover Replacement in Interior Trim.
