Tools Required

J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

1. Remove the tilt lever assembly. Refer to Tilt Lever Replacement - On Vehicle .



2. Secure the steering column to J 41352 .
3. Inspect the steering column for accident damage. Refer to Steering Column Accident Damage Inspection - Off Vehicle .



4. Remove the 2 pan head tapping screws (2) from the lower trim cover (1).
5. Remove the lower trim cover (1).



6. Remove the TORX® head screw (1) from the upper trim cover (2).
7. Remove the upper trim cover (2).



8. Remove the trim cover protector (1) from the lower trim cover (2).
