  1. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  2. Release the park brake.

Does the brake indicator lamp light?

--

  1. Turn the ignition switch to the LOCK position.
  2. Disconnect the daytime running lamps (DRL) module.
  3. Turn the ignition switch to the RUN position.
  4. Connect a DMM J 39200 from the DRL module CKT 39 (PNK) , cavity C, to ground.

Is battery voltage present?

--

Go to Step 4

Connect a test lamp J 35616-200 from DRL module CKT 39 (PNK) cavity C to CKT 750 (BLK) cavity H.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Go to Step 5

  1. Remove the DRL relay from the convenience center.
  2. Connect a test lamp from the DRL relay CKT 634 (YEL) cavity G3 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

--

Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from the DRL relay CKT 39 (PNK) cavity H3 to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

  1. Place the ignition switch in the OFF position.
  2. Use a J 39200 in order to test CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) for continuity between the DRL relay cavity G1 and the DRL module cavity G

Did you find continuity?

  1. Reconnect the DRL relay.
  2. Place the ignition switch in the RUN position.
  3. Connect a fused jumper between CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) cavity G at the DRL module connector and ground.

Does the DRL operate?

Engage then disengage the parking brakes in order to check the operation of the brake warning indicator.

Does the brake warning indicator operate properly?

  1. Reconnect the diode.
  2. Use a test lamp in order to backprobe the diode D300 connector cavity B to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between the instrument panel (IP) fuse block and the DRL module.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 750 (BLK) between the DRL module and ground G206.

Is the repair complete?

  1. Disconnect the diode D300 connector.
  2. Connect a test lampJ 35616-200 from diode D300 connector cavity A to ground.

Does the test lamp light?

Repair the open in CKT 39 (PNK) between splice S213 and the convenience center.

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open in CKT 592 (LT GRN/BLK) between the DRL module and the DRL Relay.
