TRIM PANEL CLOTH SEPARATION M VANS WITH YC7 TRIM OPTION

TRIM PANEL CLOTH SEPARATION

VEHICLES AFFECTED: 1987 M VANS (LT ONLY) WITH YC7 OPTION -----------------

Some 1987 LT model M vans with the YC7 trim option may experience cloth separation from interior trim panels.

The panels involved are those located rearward of the front doors (or "B" pillars) on both sides of the vehicle including the rear doors.

The separation usually occurs at the upper edges of the panel's adjacent to the windows and is due to insufficient bonding and cloth overlap.

Use the most applicable labour operation from the Canadian Labour Time Guide and claim as follows:

General Motors bulletins are intended for use by professional technicians, not a "do-it-yourselfer". They are written to inform those technicians of conditions that may occur on some vehicles, or to provide information that could assist in the proper service of a vehicle. Properly trained technicians have the equipment, tools, safety instructions and know-how to do a job properly and safely. If a condition is described, do not assume that the bulletin applies to your vehicle, or that your vehicle will have that condition. See a General Motors dealer servicing your brand of General Motors vehicle for information on whether your vehicle may benefit from the information.
