Floor Air Outlet Replacement Center - Pickup

Removal Procedure


    Object Number: 281479  Size: SH
  1. Remove the heater/vent module.
  2. Remove the floor air outlet screws.
  3. Remove the floor air outlet from the heater/vent module.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 281479  Size: SH
  1. Install the floor air outlet. Ensure that the outlet locks into place.
  2. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  3. Install the floor air outlet screws.
  4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.9 N·m (17 lb in).

  5. Install the heater/vent module.

Floor Air Outlet Replacement Rear - Utility

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the passenger front seat and the driver front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement in Seats:
  2. Remove the center floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the passenger and driver door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  4. Remove the passenger and driver side kick panel.

  6. Pull the carpet back in order to access the rear floor air outlets.
  7. Remove the passenger seat wiring harness from the rear floor air outlet.
  8. Remove the rear floor air outlets from the front floor air outlet.
  9. Remove the rear floor air outlets from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

  1. Install the rear floor air outlets to the front floor air outlet.
  2. Install the passenger seat wiring harness to the rear floor air outlets.
  3. Install the carpet in order to cover the rear floor air outlets.
  4. Install the passenger and driver side kick panel.
  5. Install the passenger and driver door sill plate. Refer to Door Sill Plate Replacement in Interior Trim.
  6. Install the center floor console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  7. Install the passenger front seat and the driver front seat. Refer to Seat Replacement in Seats:
