- Using a 30-32 mm (1 3/16 in)
deep well socket or box end wrench, depress the 4 tabs on internal wiring harness
connector (1). With the tabs depressed, gently pop the connector into and through
the transmission case (2) with the palm of the hand.
- Disconnect the internal wiring harness (2)
from the following components:
| • | Pressure control solenoid A (7) |
| • | Shift solenoid C (8). |
| • | Pressure control solenoid B (6) |
| • | Torque converter clutch pulse width modulated (TCC PWM) solenoid (3) |
| • | Transmission fluid pressure switch (9) |
| • | Modulated main solenoid G (11) |
- Remove the solenoid retainers (1) from shift solenoid D (4)
and shift solenoid E (5).
- Remove the internal wiring harness (2) from main valve body (10).
- Install the solenoid retainers (1).
