Cruise Control System Circuit Description LP4/L21

Circuit Description

The Cruise Control system is a speed control system that maintains a desired vehicle speed under normal driving conditions. The Throttle Actuator Control (TAC) module controls the cruise system.

When the cruise control switch is in the ON position voltage is applied from the IGN 1 circuit breaker through CKT 39 (PNK) to CKT 397 (GRY). The SET/COAST switch applies voltage to CKT 84 (DK BLU) and the Resume/Accel switch applies voltage to CKT 87 (GRY/BLK). Brake pedal input is accessed from the Stoplamps Switch Interface Module through CKT 526 (LT GRN). The TAC module maintains the current vehicle speed based on input parameters.
