Poor road or wind conditions

Test drive the vehicle on a flat road.

Test drive the vehicle in both directions.

Misaligned front wheels

1. Align the front wheels.
2. Refer to the appropriate procedure:

•	Front Caster Adjustment

•	Front Camber Adjustment

•	Front Toe Adjustment

Unbalanced steering gear valve.

If the steering gear valve is unbalanced, the steering effort will be very light in the direction of the lead and heavy in the opposite direction.

Replace the steering gear valve.

Refer to Integral Steering Gear Disassemble .

The steering shaft is rubbing the inside of the shaft tube.

Align the steering column.
