Assembly Procedure

    Object Number: 344138 Size: SH
  1. Reinstall the tilt lever (2).
  2. Install the steering column housing assembly (1).

    3. Pull back on the tilt lever (2) and push the steering column housing assembly (1) up and towards the column.

  3. Remove the tilt lever (2).

    4. Object Number: 378827 Size: SH

    Important: If the steering column housing assembly has been staked 3 times it must be replaced.

  4. Lubricate and install 2 pivot pins (2).
  5. Stake the pivot pins (1) location.
  6. Install the tilt spring assembly. Refer to Tilt Spring - Assemble - Off Vehicle .
