Removal Procedure

  1. Set the parking brake.
  2. Block the vehicle's rear wheels.

  3. Object Number: 201700  Size: SH
  4. Loosen the bolt (8) at the stabilizer link.
  5. Remove the following components connecting the stabilizer links to the frame bracket:
  6. • The nut (12)
    • The washers (17)
    • The bolt (18)
  7. Pivot the stabilizer links (10) down to allow access to the bracket.
  8. Remove the following components:
  9. 6.1. The nuts (14)
    6.2. The washers
    6.3. The bolts (15)
  10. Remove the bracket from the cross member.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 201700  Size: SH
  1. Install the stabilizer link bracket to the cross member.
  2. Important: Install the bracket mounting bolts from the inside of the cross member.

  3. Install the following components:
  4. 2.1. The bolts (15)
    2.2. The washers
    2.3. The nuts (14)

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

    Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer link bracket bolts to 70 N·m (52 lb ft).

  5. Align the stabilizer link (10) holes with the bracket.
  6. Important: Install the link mounting bolts from the outside of the link.

  7. Install the following components:
  8. 4.1. The bolt (18)
    4.2. The washers
    4.3. The nut (12)

    Tighten
    Tighten the stabilizer link nuts (11, 12) to 240 N·m (177 lb ft).

  9. Remove the blocks from the wheels.
