The following diagnosis might be helpful if the vehicle exhibits the symptom(s) described in this PI.
Condition/Concern:
When a replacement engine is ordered for the vehicles above, a 2008 model year replacement engine, part number 19169060, may be received. This engine should come with an instruction sheet that indicates it is necessary to install the following 2007 model
year parts so the engine can be installed in a 2007 model year vehicle:

If these directions are not followed, a SES light will be experienced due to any of the following DTCs once the engine is started: P0016, P0017, P0340, P0341, P0365, P0366
Recommendation/Instructions:
If this concern is encountered after installing Goodwrench engine part number 19169060 into a 2007 model year vehicle, determine if the components listed above were swapped from the original engine to the replacement engine. If they were not, follow SI
procedures to swap the original components to the replacement engine and evaluate the concern. If the original components can not be reused due to damage, etc., install the necessary 2007 model year part numbers that are listed in the GMSPO catalog.
Please follow this diagnostic or repair process thoroughly and complete each step. If the condition exhibited is resolved without completing every step, the remaining steps do not need to be performed.
