Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement .

    2. Object Number: 953977 Size: SH
  2. Remove the upper timing chain guide bolts.
  3. Remove the upper timing chain guide from the cylinder head.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 953977 Size: SH
  1. Position the upper timing chain guide to the cylinder head.
  2. Apply threadlock to the upper timing chain guide bolt threads. Refer to Adhesives, Fluids, Lubricants, and Sealers for the correct part number.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the upper timing chain guide bolts.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the upper timing chain guide bolts to 10 N·m (89 lb in).

  4. Install the camshaft cover. Refer to Camshaft Cover Replacement .
