Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2080770 Size: SH

    Caution: Unless directed otherwise, the ignition and start switch must be in the OFF or LOCK position, and all electrical loads must be OFF before servicing any electrical component. Disconnect the negative battery cable to prevent an electrical spark should a tool or equipment come in contact with an exposed electrical terminal. Failure to follow these precautions may result in personal injury and/or damage to the vehicle or its components.

  1. Disconnect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
  2. Raise and secure the engine compartment hood.
  3. Apply suitable upward pressure on the front edge (1) of the engine cover (2).
  4. Disengage the intake manifold sight shield insulator legs (1) by raising the intake manifold sight shield (2) upwards and moving it suitably forward to release the retention hooks (3).
  5. Remove the intake manifold sight shield (2).

Installation Procedure

  1. Lowering on a slight angle, Install the intake manifold sight shield (2) onto the engine assembly, engaging the retention hooks (3).
  2. Lower the front edge of the intake manifold sight shield (2) onto the engine assembly, engaging the intake manifold sight shield insulator legs (1).
  3. Connect the battery ground cable from the battery. Refer to Battery Negative Cable Disconnection and Connection.
