For 1990-2009 cars only
  1. Perform the Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
  2. Using a scan tool, observe the Seat Adjuster Switch parameters in the driver position module data list. Operate all the seat adjuster switches in both directions.
  3. If the switch parameters display the correct switch status, replace the Memory Seat Module (MSM).
    If any of the switch parameters do not display the correct switch status, disconnect the seat adjuster switch connector.
  4. Using a DMM test for battery voltage at the switch supply voltage circuit terminal in the harness connector.
  5. If the battery voltage is present, replace the Seat Adjuster Switch.
    If the battery voltage is not present, refer to circuit testing.
  6. Test for a short to voltage or a short to ground throughout the switch supply circuit.
  7. If a fault is detected, repair or replace the effected circuit.
    If no fault is detected, replace the MSM.
