- Perform the
Diagnostic System Check - Vehicle.
- Using a scan tool, observe the Seat Adjuster Switch parameters in the
driver position module data list. Operate all the seat adjuster switches in both directions.
| ⇒ | If the switch parameters display the correct switch status, replace the Memory
Seat Module (MSM). |
| ⇒ | If any of the switch parameters do not display the correct switch status, disconnect
the seat adjuster switch connector. |
- Using a DMM test for battery voltage at the switch supply voltage circuit
terminal in the harness connector.
| ⇒ | If the battery voltage is present, replace the Seat Adjuster Switch. |
| ⇒ | If the battery voltage is not present, refer to circuit testing. |
- Test for a short to voltage or a short to ground throughout the switch
supply circuit.
| ⇒ | If a fault is detected, repair or replace the effected circuit. |
| ⇒ | If no fault is detected, replace the MSM. |
