Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 2040554 Size: SH
  1. Remove the diagnostic plug to instrument panel (I/P) insulator panel retaining screws (2).
  2. Remove the diagnostic plug (1) from the I/P insulator panel (3).

    3. Object Number: 2156144 Size: SH
  3. Grasp the I/P insulator panel (2) and carefully pull downward to disengage the retaining clips.
  4. Where fitted, disconnect the courtesy lamp socket assembly (1) from the I/P insulator panel (2) by turning the socket counterclockwise.
  5. Remove the I/P insulator panel (2).

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2156144 Size: SH
  1. Where fitted, connect the courtesy lamp socket assembly (1) to the I/P insulator panel (2).

    2. Important: Listen for an audible click to confirm correct fitment of the retainers.

  2. Install the I/P insulator panel (2) to the I/P.

    3. Object Number: 2040554 Size: SH
  3. Install the diagnostic plug (1) to the I/P insulator panel (3).

    4. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  4. Install the diagnostic plug to I/P insulator panel retaining screws (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 2  N·m (18 lb in).
