Clutch Actuator Cylinder Replacement D16

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 2028144  Size: SH
  3. Detach the clutch actuator cylinder pipe (3) from the clutch actuator cylinder (2).
  4. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts (1).

  5. Object Number: 2028160  Size: SH
  6. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder (1).
  7. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder seal (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2028160  Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch actuator cylinder seal (2).
  2. Install the clutch actuator cylinder (1).
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2028144  Size: SH
  4. Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts (1) and tighten to  7 N·m(62 lb in).
  5. Attach the clutch actuator cylinder pipe (3) to the clutch actuator cylinder (2).
  6. Install the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
  7. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding.
  8. Fill the reservoir with clutch/brake fluid up to the MAX level.

Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.

  2. Object Number: 2028173  Size: SH
  3. Detach the clutch actuator cylinder pipe (2).
  4. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder bolts (1).

  5. Object Number: 2028175  Size: SH
  6. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder (1).
  7. Remove the clutch actuator cylinder seal (2).

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 2028175  Size: SH
  1. Install the clutch actuator cylinder seal (2).
  2. Install the clutch actuator cylinder (1).
  3. Caution: Refer to Fastener Caution in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 2028173  Size: SH
  4. Install the clutch actuator cylinder bolts (1) and tighten to  7 N·m (62 lb in).
  5. Attach the clutch actuator cylinder pipe (2).
  6. Install the manual transmission. Refer to Transmission Replacement.
  7. Bleed the hydraulic clutch system. Refer to Hydraulic Clutch Bleeding.
  8. Fill the reservoir with clutch/brake fluid up to the MAX level.
