Removal Procedure
  1. Raise and suitably support the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle.
  2. Support the rear axle with a tall jack stand near the shock absorber.
  3. Remove the lower shock bolt. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement.
  4. Using the tall jack stands, slowly lower the rear axle in order to remove tension from the rear springs.

  5. Remove the spring (1).

    6. Object Number: 2027771 Size: SH
  6. Remove the upper spring seat/jounce bumper (1) from the spring, while leaving the lower spring seat on the axle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 2027771 Size: SH
  1. Install the upper spring seat/jounce bumper (1) on the spring.

    2. Object Number: 2027770 Size: SH
  2. Install the spring (1) making sure the lower coil is seated into the lower spring seat.
  3. Using the jack stands, raise the rear axle in order to compress the rear springs.
  4. Install the lower shock absorber bolts. Refer to Shock Absorber Replacement.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
