Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1280902 Size: SH
  1. Remove the instrument panel lower cover.

    2. Object Number: 1282099 Size: SH
  2. Remove the bolts.
  3. Disconnect the hood release cable.
  4. Remove the hood latch cover.

    5. Object Number: 1282101 Size: SH
  5. Remove the cable and the grommet from inside the vehicle.
  6. Remove the fender liner.

    7. Object Number: 1282102 Size: SH
  7. Remove the cable.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1282102 Size: SH
  1. Install the cable.

    2. Object Number: 1282101 Size: SH
  2. Install the fender liner.
  3. Install the cable and the grommet to the vehicle.

    4. Object Number: 1282099 Size: SH
  4. Install the hood latch lever.
  5. Connect the hood release cable.

    6. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  6. Install the bolts.

    7. Tighten
    Tighten the hood latch lever bolts to 4 N·m (35 lb in).
