Removal Procedure

  1. Remove the front seats. Refer to Front Seats in Seats.
  2. Remove the center console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  3. Remove the console bracket. Refer to Floor Console Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  4. Remove the carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainers in.
  5. Pull the front of the carpet rearward.
  6. Remove the floor duct brace.

  7. Object Number: 395312  Size: SH
  8. Remove the floor duct from the heater A/C module and the lower floor duct.
  9. Unsnap the lower floor air outlet duct from the studs and the holes in the floor reinforcement.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 395312  Size: SH
  1. Snap the lower floor air outlet duct to the studs and the holes in the floor reinforcement.
  2. Install the floor duct to the lower floor duct and the heater A/C module.
  3. Install the floor duct brace.
  4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  5. Install the floor duct brace retaining nuts.
  6. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 10 N·m ( 89 lb in).

  7. Install the front carpet into position.
  8. Install the carpet retainers. Refer to Carpet Retainers in Seats.
  9. Install the console bracket. Refer to Floor Console Bracket Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  10. Install the center console. Refer to Front Floor Console Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  11. Install the front seats. Refer to Front Seats in Seats.
