Makes 🢒 Chevrolet 🢒 2000 🢒 Venture Ext. 🢒 HVAC 🢒 Heating, Ventilation and Air Conditioning 🢒 Mode Valve Replacement

Removal Procedure
  1. Remove the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
  2. Remove the mode valve vacuum actuator from the mode valve. Refer to Mode Valve Replacement in HVAC System -- Manual.

    3. Object Number: 395306 Size: SH
  3. Remove the air distribution case cover retaining screws.
  4. Remove the air distribution case cover.
  5. Remove and discard the air distribution case seal.
  6. Remove the mode valve.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 395306 Size: SH
  1. Install the mode valve.
  2. Install a new air distribution case seal
  3. Install the air distribution case cover.

    4. Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the air distribution case cover retaining screws.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws to 1.6 N·m (14 lb in).

  5. Install the mode valve vacuum actuator to the mode valve. Refer to Mode Valve Replacement in HVAC System -- Manual.
  6. Install the instrument panel assembly. Refer to Instrument Panel Assembly Replacement in Instrument Panel, Gauges and Console.
