  1. Disconnect the radio receiver connector C3.
  2. Disconnect the CD changer connector.
  3. Use a J 39200 in order to measure the resistance of the affected audio channel between the radio receiver connector C3 and the CD changer.

Is the resistance within the specified range?

0-2ohms

Go to Step 4

Use a J 39200 in order to test for a short to ground in the affected audio channel input at the radio receiver harness connector.

Is there a short to ground in the circuit?

Repair a faulty connection or an open in the affected circuit between the radio receiver and the CD changer.

Has the repair been made?

Repair a short to ground in the affected circuit between the radio receiver and the CD changer

Use a J 39200 in order to test for a short to voltage in the audio channel input at the radio receiver connector.

Does the voltage measure greater than the specified range?

0-2V

Repair a short to voltage between the CD changer and the radio receiver in the affected circuit.
