Removal Procedure

J 38185 Hose Clamp Pliers

    NOTICE: When adding coolant, it is important that you use GM Goodwrench DEX-COOL® or HAVOLINE® DEX-COOL® coolant. If Coolant other than DEX-COOL® or HAVOLINE® DEX-COOL® is added to the system the engine coolant will require change sooner; at 50 000 km (30,000 mi) or 24 months.

  1. Remove the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Engine Controls.
  2. Drain the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Disconnect the throttle body inlet hose clamp and the hose using the J 38185 .
  4. Remove the throttle body inlet hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Connect the throttle body inlet hose with the clamps using the J 38185 .
  2. Refill the coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
  3. Install the air cleaner and duct assembly. Refer to Engine Controls.
