Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 1530697 Size: SH
  1. Remove the courtesy lamp lens.
  2. Remove the screw near the courtesy lamp.
  3. Grasp the overhead console and pull downward in order to disengage the fasteners.
  4. Disconnect the electrical connectors from the overhead console.

    5. Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  5. Remove the screws securing the OnStarĀ® button assembly (4) to the overhead console.
  6. Remove the OnStarĀ® Microphone from the OnStarĀ® button assembly. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement .

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1530702 Size: SH
  1. Install the OnStarĀ® Microphone into the OnStarĀ® button assembly. Refer to Mobile Telephone Microphone Replacement .
  2. Position the OnStarĀ® button assembly (4) to the overhead console.

    3. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.

  3. Install the screws to secure the OnStarĀ® button assembly to the overhead console.

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the nuts to 2 NĀ·m (18 lb in).

  4. Connect the electrical connectors.
  5. Align the overhead console within the vehicle.
  6. Press up on the overhead console engaging the fasteners in order to secure the console to the vehicle.
  7. Install the overhead console screw.

    8. Tighten
    Tighten the screw to 2 NĀ·m (18 lb in).

  8. Install the courtesy lamp lens.
