Important: If you use the correct washers, there should be a space of 1.2 mm (0.047 in) between the suction/discharge hose block and the compressor rear head.

  1. Clean all of the sealing surfaces with a lint-free cloth in order to prevent dirt or foreign material from getting into the following sealing surface components:
  2. • The washers
    • The hose block
    • The compressor ports

    Object Number: 3758 Size: SH

  5. Install the hose block to the compressor.
  6. Ensure that the sealing washers are seated within the compressor's machined surfaces.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  7. Hold the block in place and tighten the attachment bolt.
  8. Tighten
Tighten the bolt to 33 N·m (24 lb ft).
