Removal Procedure
Remove the manual transmission assembly from the vehicle. Refer to
Two-Wheel-Drive Transmission Replacement
or
Four-Wheel-Drive Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission.
Remove the pressure plate and the clutch disc from the flywheel. Refer to
Clutch Assembly Replacement
.
Remove the clutch pilot bearing (1) from the crankshaft using the
J 37764
,
J 34839
and the
J 23907
.
Inspect the clutch pilot bearing (1) for scoring, binding or rough operation.
Replace as necessary.
Installation Procedure
Install the clutch bearing into the crankshaft using the
J 34848
with the
J 7079-2
.
Install the clutch disc and the pressure plate to the flywheel (1). Refer to
Clutch Assembly Replacement
.
Install the manual transmission assembly into the vehicle. Refer to
Two-Wheel-Drive Transmission Replacement
or
Four-Wheel-Drive Transmission Replacement
in Manual Transmission.
