Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 1.6L Engine

Removal Procedure

Caution: To avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot.

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 466469  Size: SH
  3. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp (1) on the radiator outlet pipe.
  4. Loosen and reposition the hose clamp on the radiator outlet hose at the radiator.
  5. Remove the radiator outlet hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 466469  Size: SH
  1. Position a new hose clamp (1) on each end of the new radiator outlet hose.
  2. Install the new radiator outlet hose to the outlet pipe and to the radiator.
  3. Position the hose over the outlet pipe and radiator flares.
  4. Secure the hose with the hose clamps (1).
  5. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 2.0L Engine

Removal Procedure

Caution: To avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot.

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 488773  Size: SH
  3. Loosen and reposition the hose clamps (1) at the radiator outlet, and the thermostat housing.
  4. Remove the radiator outlet hose.

Installation Procedure


    Object Number: 488773  Size: SH
  1. Position a new hose clamp (1) on each end of the new radiator outlet hose.
  2. Install the new radiator outlet hose to the thermostat housing and to the radiator.
  3. Secure the hose with the hose clamps (1).
  4. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

Radiator Outlet Hose Replacement 2.5L Engine

Removal Procedure

Caution: To avoid being burned, do not remove the radiator cap or surge tank cap while the engine is hot. The cooling system will release scalding fluid and steam under pressure if radiator cap or surge tank cap is removed while the engine and radiator are still hot.

  1. Drain the engine coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .

  2. Object Number: 721860  Size: SH
  3. Loosen and reposition the hose clamps (1) on the radiator inlet hose at the radiator and the coolant pipe.
  4. Remove the radiator hose.

Installation Procedure

  1. Position a new hose clamp on each end of the new radiator inlet hose.
  2. Install the new radiator hose to the coolant pipe and to the radiator.

  3. Object Number: 721860  Size: SH
  4. Secure with two hose clamps (1).
  5. Fill the radiator with an approved coolant. Refer to Cooling System Draining and Filling .
