Removal Procedure

    Object Number: 479510 Size: SH
  1. Pull the rear seat pull strap (2) while raising the back of the left rear seat cushion (3).

    2. Object Number: 488131 Size: SH
  2. Remove the rear seat center bracket front mounting bolt (2).

    3. Object Number: 488128 Size: SH
  3. Pull up on the rear seat back cushion latch release knob. Fold each rear seat back cushion (1) forward.

    4. Object Number: 488400 Size: SH
  4. Remove the 3 plastic retainers from each rear seat back cushion which secure the rear floor carpet (1) to the seat back cushion. Position the carpet (1) aside in order to gain access to the seat back cushion mounting bolts.

    5. Object Number: 468542 Size: SH
  5. Gently pry and remove the rear seat center hinge support cover.
  6. Remove the following components from the rear seat back cushions (1, 2):
    7. 6.1. The 2 bolts (3, 6) which secure each cushion (1, 2)
    6.2. The bolt (5)
    6.3. The rear seat center bracket (4)

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 468542 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear seat center bracket (4) to the vehicle. Secure the bracket with the bolt (5). Do not tighten fully at this time.
  2. Install the 2 bolts (3, 6) which secure each rear seat back cushion (1, 2) to the seat center bracket (4). Do not tighten fully at this time.

  3. Return the rear seat back cushion (1) to the upright position.

    4. Object Number: 488131 Size: SH

    Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

  4. Install the rear seat center bracket front mounting bolt (2).

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the rear seat center bracket bolts to 35 N·m (25 lb ft).

  5. Lower the left rear seat cushion (3).
  6. Install the rear seat center hinge support cover.

    7. Object Number: 488400 Size: SH
  7. Install the rear floor carpet (1) to the rear seat back cushion. Secure the carpet to each cushion with 3 plastic retainers.
