Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

Tools Required

J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Install the inner race (4).
2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (3).
3. Install the upper bearing spring (2).
4. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1) with synthetic grease and install.



5. Install the shaft lock shield assembly (1).



6. Install the bearing retainer using J 23653-SIR .
7. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Steering Column Tilt Head Housing - Assemble - Off Vehicle Floor Shift

Tools Required

J 41352 Modular Column Holding Fixture

1. Install the inner race (3).
2. Install the upper bearing inner race seat (4).
3. Install the upper bearing spring (1).
4. Lubricate the turn signal cancel cam assembly (2) with synthetic grease and install.



5. Install the shaft lock shield assembly (1).



6. Install the bearing retainer using the J 23653-SIR .
7. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .
