Steering Column Jacket - Assemble - Off Vehicle Column Shift

Tools Required
J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Install the thurst washer (3).
2. Install the upper bearing spring (2).
3. Install the turn signal cancel cam assembly (1) and lubricate with synthetic grease.



4. Align the race and upper shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position.



5. Install the shaft lock shield assmbly.



6. Install the retaining ring using J 23653-SIR .
7. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Inflatable Restraint Steering Wheel Module Coil Assemble - Off Vehicle .

Tools Required
J 23653-SIR Lock Plate Compressor

1. Install the thurst washer (3).

4. Align the race and upper shaft assembly to the 12 o'clock position.



5. Install the shaft lock shield assmbly.



6. Install the retaining ring using J 23653-SIR .
7. Install the SIR coil assembly. Refer to Steering Column Trim Covers - Disassemble - Off Vehicle .
