Removal Procedure
  1. Raise the vehicle. Refer to Lifting and Jacking the Vehicle in General Information.
  2. Remove the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  3. Remove the wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .

    4. Object Number: 1269966 Size: SH
  4. Remove the retainers from the rear pickup box side panel brace.

    5. Object Number: 1270487 Size: SH
  5. Remove the rear pickup box side panel brace from the vehicle.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 1270487 Size: SH
  1. Install the rear pickup box side panel brace into the vehicle.

    2. Notice: Refer to Fastener Notice in the Preface section.


    Object Number: 1269966 Size: SH
  2. Install the rear pickup box side panel brace retainers.

    3. Tighten

        • Tighten the fasteners to 10 N·m (88 lb in).
        • For step side box and rear dual wheel fender , tighten the fastener to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
  3. Install the wheelhouse liner panel. Refer to Rear Wheelhouse Panel Liner Replacement .
  4. Install the tire and wheel. Refer to Tire and Wheel Removal and Installation in Tires and Wheels.
  5. Lower the vehicle.
