Did you perform the Horns Diagnostic System Check?

  1. Disconnect the inoperative horn.
  2. Test for controlled voltage at cavity B. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.
  3. Press the horn button.

Did the test light illuminate?

--

Go to Step 4

Repair the open controlled voltage CKT between the underhood fuse block connector C4 cavity A6 and the inoperative horn. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Diagnostic System Check - Horns

Test cavity A for continuity to ground at the inoperative horn. Refer to Testing for Continuity in Wiring Systems.

Is the resistance within the specified value?

0-5 ohms

Go to Step 5

Replace the inoperative horn. Refer to Horn Replacement - Left Side or Horn Replacement - Right Side .

Is the repair complete?

Repair the open ground CKT. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
