Did you perform the Horn Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go To Diagnostic System Check - Horns

Remove horn relay from underhood fuse block.

Did the horn stop sounding?

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 3

Repair the short to voltage in the controlled voltage CKT. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go To Diagnostic System Check - Horns

Connect a test light between terminal 1 and terminal 2 in the horn relay socket. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 6

Go to Step 5

Replace the horn relay. Refer to Horn Relay Replacement .

Is the repair complete?

Go To Diagnostic System Check - Horns

  1. Disconnect C211.
  2. Connect a test light between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the horn relay socket. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.

Did the test lamp light?

Go to Step 8

Go to Step 7

Repair the short to ground in the horn switch CKT. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go To Diagnostic System Check - Horns

  1. Disconnect the Body Control Module (BCM).
  2. Connect a test light between terminal 1 and terminal 2 of the horn relay socket. Refer to Troubleshooting with a Test Lamp in Wiring Systems.

Did the test light illuminate?

Go to Step 9

Go to Step 10

Repair the short to ground. Refer To Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.

Is the repair complete?

Go To Diagnostic System Check - Horns

Replace the BCM.
