Removal Procedure

Tools Required

J 38778 Door Trim Pad Remover

  1. Remove the window regulator handle, if equipped. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement (Standard).
  2. Remove the upper trim finish panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Extension (Standard).

    3. Object Number: 581560 Size: SH
  3. Remove the lower screws (3) from the front door trim panel.
  4. Remove the screws (1) from the front door arm rest.
  5. Using the J 38778 Door Trim Pad Remover, remove the front door trim panel fasteners from the front door inner panel (2).
  6. Remove the front door trim panel (2).
  7. Disconnect the power door lock switch connector.

Installation Procedure

    Object Number: 581560 Size: SH
  1. Push the front door trim panel (2) inward to engage the fasteners.
  2. Connect the power door lock switch connector.
  3. Install the arm rest screws (1).

    4. Tighten
    Tighten the screws (1) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  4. Install the lower screws (3) to the front door trim panel.

    5. Tighten
    Tighten the screws (3) to 2 N·m (18 lb in).

  5. Install the upper trim finish panel. Refer to Trim Panel Replacement - Upper Extension (Standard).
  6. Install the window regulator handle, if equipped. Refer to Window Regulator Replacement (Standard).
