Notice: When removing body panels, apply tape to corners of panel and adjacent surfaces to help prevent paint damage.

1. Remove the hood hinges from the fender. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement.
2. Remove the front fascia from the fender. Refer to Fascia Replacement-Front Bumper.
3. Remove the splash shield from the fender. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse.
4. Remove the front side marker lamp from the fender. Refer to Park/Turn Signal/Side Marker Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
5. Remove the auxiliary turn signal from the fender. Refer to Auxiliary Turn Signal Replacement in Lighting Systems.



6. Remove the upper fender mounting bolts (1) from the fender (2).
7. Remove the lower fender mounting bolts (3) from the fender (2).



8. Remove the fender insulator retainers (2).
9. Remove the fender insulators (1).



10. Remove the fender center bracket bolts (2).
11. Remove the fender (3) from the vehicle.

1. Install the fender (3) to the vehicle.

Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified. These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.

2. Install the fender center bracket bolts (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 3 N·m (27 lb in).




3. Install the fender insulators (1).
4. Install the fender insulator retainers (2).



5. Install the upper fender mounting bolts (1) to the fender (2). Hand tighten the bolts.
6. Install the lower fender mounting bolts (3) to the fender (2).

Tighten
Tighten the bolts to 7 N·m (62 lb in).

7. Install the auxiliary turn signal to the fender. Refer to Auxiliary Turn Signal Replacement in Lighting Systems.
8. Install the front side marker lamp to the fender. Refer to Park/Turn Signal/Side Marker Lamp Replacement in Lighting Systems.
9. Install the splash shield to the fender. Refer to Splash Shield Replacement - Wheelhouse.
10. Install the front fascia to the fender. Refer to Fascia Replacement-Front Bumper.
11. Install the hood hinges to the fender. Refer to Hood Hinge Replacement.
