Removal Procedure
- Remove the screws (1)
from the inside of the rear compartment.
- Remove the nuts (2) from the inside of the rear compartment.
- Remove the filler panels.
- Remove the screws (4) from the rear fascia (3).
The screws are located in the rear wheel housing.
- Remove the retainers (3)
from the rear fascia (2).
- Remove the rear fascia (2) from the impact bar (1).
- Disconnect the license plate lamp from the rear fascia (2).
Installation Procedure
- Connect the license plate
lamp to the rear fascia (2).
- If the rear fascia is being replaced, discard the filler panels.
- Install the support brackets for the new rear fascia/ filler panel
assembly.
- Install the rear fascia (2) to the impact bar (1).
- Install the retainers (3) to the rear fascia (2).
- Install the filler panels
if the original rear fascia is being used.
Notice: Use the correct fastener in the correct location. Replacement fasteners
must be the correct part number for that application. Fasteners requiring
replacement or fasteners requiring the use of thread locking compound or sealant
are identified in the service procedure. Do not use paints, lubricants, or
corrosion inhibitors on fasteners or fastener joint surfaces unless specified.
These coatings affect fastener torque and joint clamping force and may damage
the fastener. Use the correct tightening sequence and specifications when
installing fasteners in order to avoid damage to parts and systems.
- Install the screws (1) to the rear fascia (3) inside the
rear compartment.
Tighten
Tighten the screws (1) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the nuts (2) to the rear fascia (3) inside
the rear compartment.
Tighten
Tighten the nuts (2) to 9 N·m (80 lb in).
- Install the screws (4) to the rear fascia (3). The
screws are located in the rear wheel housing.
Tighten
Tighten the screws to 9 N·m 80 lb in).
