The optional window defogger system consists of a tinted window that has the following parts baked into the inside of the surface during the window forming operation:

    • A number of horizontal ceramic silver compound element lines
    • 2 vertical bus bars

The feed wire terminal is soldered to the bus bar on the driver's side. The ground wire terminal is soldered to the bus bar on the passenger side.

The defogger system operates on 12 volts. Under some conditions, you may not detect heat by using a finger touch. The length of time necessary in order to remove interior fog from the rear window may vary according to the following conditions:

    • The vehicle speed
    • The outside window pressure
    • The atmospheric pressure
    • The number of passengers

The window defogger system uses an instrument panel mounted switch using an integral indicator lamp. The system operates for approximately 10 minutes until an automatic timer turns the system off. When the system is turned on again, the system operates for 5 minutes and turn off.

You may turn the system off during this operating period by turning one of the following components to OFF:

    • The instrument panel mounted switch
    • The engine control
