Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to A Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

  1. Turn OFF the ignition.
  2. Install a scan tool.
  3. Turn ON the ignition, with the engine OFF.
  4. Observe the FUEL LEVEL parameter in the powertrain control module (PCM) EVAP data display.

Does the scan tool indicate that the FUEL LEVEL parameter is the same as the fuel level gauge?

Go to A Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls

Go to Step 3

Replace the instrument cluster (IPC). Refer to IP Cluster Replacement.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 4

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?
