Did you perform the Instrument Cluster Diagnostic System Check?

Go to Step 2

Go to A Diagnostic System Check - Instrument Cluster

1. Start the engine.
2. Carefully drive the vehicle while observing the VEHICLE SPEED parameter in the TRANSMISSION DATA data display on the scan tool.

Does the scan tool indicate that the VEHICLE SPEED parameter is the same as the speedometer gauge?

Go to A Powertrain On Board Diagnostic (OBD) System Check in Engine Controls

Go to Step 3

Replace the instrument cluster (IPC). Refer to IP Cluster Replacement.

Did you complete the repair?

Go to Step 4

Operate the system in order to verify the repair.

Did you correct the condition?

System OK
