  1. Turn the ignition switch to ON.
  2. Turn the mode selector to VENT.
  3. Disconnect the blower resistor connector.
  4. Turn the blower switch to 1.
  5. Connect the fused jumper between terminal C and terminal D of the blower resistor harness connector.

Does the blower motor operate?

 

Go to Step 2

Go to Step 3

Replace the blower resistor.

Is the repair complete?

 

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

  1. Reconnect the blower motor resistor.
  2. Disconnect the heater-a/c and rear defogger control assembly connector C2.
  3. Connect the fused jumper between terminal A of the heater-a/c and rear defogger control assembly harness connector C2 and ground.

Does the blower motor operate?

 

Go to Step 4

Go to Step 5

Replace the blower switch.

Is the repair complete?

 

Go to HVAC Blower Controls System Check

Repair the open in CKT 51 between the blower resistor and the blower switch. Refer to Wiring Repairs in Wiring Systems.
